Phua Wei Loon, 25, was found in a pool of blood at Level 1 of the karaoke premises at Jalan PJS 5/30, Taman Medan here at about 9.30pm on Monday.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said police found several bruises on Phua’s body.
He said Phua had gone to the outlet to meet the owner to collect a debt but an argument ensued.
Phua’s colleague had gone to look for him when he did not return after a few hours and found his body.
“The outlet owner has gone missing and we are trying to track him down,” he said.
Phua’s body has been sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.
